The 5th Great Serdang Debate 2009 is coming soon…

Posted: May 18, 2009 in Uncategorized

The 5th Great Serdang Debate 2009 is going to take place from the 17th August till 20th August 2009 in Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail, UPM. In the previous tournaments, GSD has been using the Asian Parliamentary concept throughout the years. This time round, the 5th Great Serdang Debate will be practicing the British Parliamentary concept which is the same concept used in the upcoming World Debate Championship.

In light of this, as the Vehbi Koç World Universities Debating Championships which will be held in Antalya, Turkey from the 27th December 2009 to 4th January 2010, GSD 2009 would be the perfect tournament for those invited participating teams from various universities to warm up and to compete as preparation for WUDC 2010.

As we have hosted GSD tournament successfully running from 2003, 2005,  2006 and 2008,  we are positive enough that we would be able to host it again  this year and we have extended our invitation to all universities in Malaysia as well as universities around the South East Asian region.

We look forward to you all debaters out there or should I say Warriors of Words to come and join us in the 5th Great Serdang Debate Championship 2009.
